Qualifications:
CDL License with P, S and no L restriction is required. Position requires individual to have a thorough knowledge of the Southeastern Pennsylvania region and be able to drive all posted routes, as well as perform all physical duties and carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Must be flexible.
Description:
The School District of Springfield Township is looking for qualified candidates currently licensed to operate a school bus who are looking for part-time work and possess excellent interpersonal skills, the desire to work with energetic students, and the ability to relate well within the school community.
This position has no guaranteed hours, a very flexible schedule, and is great for anyone looking for a little extra money on the side.
Successful candidates will be scheduled to work when our transportation needs exceed our existing staff’s ability to complete sports/field trips or routes, based upon existing schedules.
Interested candidates not currently licensed to operate a school bus are encouraged to apply as a driver trainee.
As a Substitute/Trip School Bus Driver, your responsibilities include:
- Safely transport passengers to and from school
- Safely transport school-age passengers and chaperones to field trips or athletic events
Terms of employment:
Day to Day Substitute position scheduled on an as needed basis to fill day to day openings. Position will be needed when students return to in-person instruction.
