The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates who possess excellent interpersonal skills, the desire to work with co-workers, and the ability to relate well within the school community.  This position will substitute on an as needed basis for a staff member who is responsible for maintaining grounds, athletic fields equipment and vehicles.  This includes grass, shrubbery, flowerbeds and trees which are to be maintained through cutting, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, fertilizing and spraying.  It may also include painting or performing minor repairs on pavement, sidewalks, fences, walls and other exterior areas.  May operate and perform minor repairs on vehicles and equipment.  May assist in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to general maintenance, upkeep of equipment, and snow removal.  Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.  SDST is committed to diversity in our workplace and welcomes the opportunity to consider all candidates. 

 

 

Terms of employment:     

Day to Day Substitute position scheduled on an as needed basis to fill day-to-day openings.  Position following the School District calendar.
